Road Safety Campaign - A New Technological Study on the Roads
THE NEW ROAD ASSET MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
In order to promote better knowledge and safety of the roads of its region, ACaMIR (Campania Agency for Mobility, Infrastructures, and Networks) has awarded the tender for the "Supply of the Road Inventory of the regional road network and training, assistance and maintenance services under warranty ”to the joint venture led by Siteco Informatica and Sina.
TECHNOLOGY AND ROAD SAFETY IN CAMPANIA: AN ESSENTIAL COMBINATION
The service proposed consists of the roadside assets detection, location, and management for an extension of 1500 km. The supply includes all the information necessary for the establishment of the Road Cadastre pursuant to Ministerial Decree 01.06.2001, and the creation of a road information system, in the GIS environment.
A phase of great importance in the execution of the project is the analysis of the road pavement status, which will be carried out through the automatic processing of the point clouds, surveyed thanks to the mobile mapping system.
Other services will be also provided with improved features with respect to the market standards, to guarantee the highest quality.
