The Road Accident Monitoring Project of the Calabria Region
CRISC Project: Siteco has been awarded the tender for the Road-Scanner Supply
As part of the "CRISC" Project (managed by the Regional Center Unit for Monitoring the Road Traffic Accidents in Calabria), Siteco Informatica has been awarded the supply of the 3D Mobile Mapping system Road-Scanner, for the road infrastructure survey and the Land Inventory. SITECO will also provide the relating Software suite, the Customer Care service and the training.
For this purpose, the Calabria Region has delegated to the various Provincial Authorities part of the activities related to the establishment/updating of the Land Inventory according to the M. D. 2001. In particular, the City of Reggio Calabria took over the purchase of a 3D survey system for mapping the Regional road infrastructure with a MePA (Public Administration dedicated portal) tender, sharing the survey system with the other Provincial Authorities.
- Siteco has already supplied and commissioned the Mobile Mapping system Road-Scanner equipped with a spherical 30-Mpx camera (6 x 5 Mpx FLIR cameras) and a Faro Focus 120 laser scanner.
- The supply also includes the installation of the Road-SIT software suite for the post-processing phases of surveying and inventory of the roadside assets, starting from the laser scans and the videos obtained with Road-Scanner. The project, currently in progress, provides for a broader involvement of Siteco Services and Products. In fact, the collected data will be managed using the Road-SIT software suite installed on the servers of the Calabria Region. This will allow the management of the data of the Land Inventory of the five Calabrian provinces: Reggio Calabria, Crotone, Cosenza, Vibo Valentia, and Catanzaro.
- The data of the Land Inventory will finally be used within the CRISC platform of the Regional Center Unit for monitoring the Road Traffic Accidents in Calabria.
