The road asset for the Piedmont region

The first project of road asset on a regional scale has been completed after 2 years of activities. Now the region of Piedmont disposes of a road information system (SIS) and of an updated database covering 2,239 km of the regional network. This project has been made possible thanks to the agreement of the Region to the Consip Convention “Road Asset”. A lot of townships and provinces have taken part in the convention beside the regions of Veneto (1.900 km of network) and Marche (6.000 km) -link-.

A Geographic Information System (GIS) to support the high-efficiency survey for the Road Asset: Province of Ravenna
The article describes the high contribution of the GIS tools to the planning, management and processing of the road asset surveys.

A lot of Public Administrations have started the development of the road asset in conformity with the specifications of  the ministerial decree for the public works No. 3484 of June 1, 2001, with the aim of improving safety and efficiency in managing the road network -link-
